It has been more than 15 years since Argusi started in Amsterdam. Our goal was to support supply chain decisions with a quantitative approach. After all these years, this remains the core of our company. We still strongly rely on our methodical and analytical approach, focusing on strategic issues in the supply chain, such as network design, distribution inventory, and route choice.
However, a lot has indeed changed. Over time, we have specialized in network issues and data analytics. With a limited and specialized portfolio, we have become a niche player in supply chain optimization. We have had the privilege of working closely with many wonderful companies, both small and large, nationally and internationally. This confirms that our approach and quantitative method work. In over 15 years and 250 projects, we, together with our clients, have achieved excellent results.

Over the years, we have seen the nature of our work change. We have shifted from purely project-oriented work to training and delivering products that our clients can use themselves. The essence is to teach our clients to analyze the supply chain themselves, to actively seek potential improvements, and to create an environment where this is possible. We try to support this with handy tools and techniques that have helped us a lot over the years.

We believe that an organization can create the most value by doing this themselves—analysis and design as skills embedded within the organization. This approach, which we have been working on for years, gained momentum in 2021. The year we were forced to reinvent ourselves. The crisis has left its mark. After this turbulent and uncertain period, like many companies, we have refocused. We have shifted more towards offering products that our clients can use themselves. We have developed a set of tools, templates, and techniques that help systematically map out a supply chain. Where necessary, we naturally offer support and training since we have successfully used this approach for 15 years. However, the goal is that we are no longer needed.
