For Corbion we conducted a network optimization project in North-America (US and Canada) combining footprint scenarios with detailed assessment of inventory implications on individual SKU-level. For the inventory part of this project, we worked together with Eyeon.
The Corbion company is a combination of the formerly separate companies Purac and Caravan ingredients. The network optimization scenarios, as a result, focused on leveraging more on the logistics synergies between these formerly separate supply chains. However, scenarios also included varying order-to-delivery lead times, and covering areas on the map that are currently hard to reach.
We modeled the Corbion network using Supply Chain Guru and developed a detailed dashboard in Tableau, which proved valua both for data validation and for the presentation of the scenario results.
