We do this by offering consulting and knowledge sharing in the areas of our expertise (supply chain design, optimization and collaboration) in a collaborative and respectful manner. We use our knowledge of and experience in the private sector and translate these to fit the situation of the humanitarian and development sector.
The first projects and knowledge sharing sessions have been realized. The network of potential partners and clients is growing.
The first project of Argusi Aid started in 2015 and focused on the evaluation of a critical aid supply chain into Syria and the development of a dashboard. In 2016, we developed a five-day workshop program on Public Health Supply Chain Management in cooperation with HELP Logistics. This workshop consists of several modules covering public health supply chain basics but also more specific topics as supply chain design and improvement and was first delivered in Malaysia, Rwanda and Myanmar.
Healthy Entrepreneurs
We have helped Healthy Entrepreneurs to gain insight in their supply chain by modelling their complete supply chain. We have made a network optimization model from suppliers to the local distribution centers in Africa and Haiti. Founded network design decisions that fit with the planned growth of Healthy Entrepreneurs can be made based on scenarios calculated in this model. Besides, a simulation model is made to find the optimal delivery interval from the suppliers to the bonded warehouse in Rwanda.
International Organization of Migration
In cooperation with HELP Logistics Argusi Aid has provided a training week for the International Organization of Migration at one of their regional offices Nairobi, Kenya. During this week, their people were educated about general supply chain topics. We focused our part on supply chain design and (lean) supply chain improvement. Insight and guidance in usage of commercial methods and tools were provided and the best way of using these methods and tools within this NGO were assessed.
